On May 6-7, 2008 the Baan/ERP Ln Mosaic Symposium was held in Evanston, Illinois with 140 Baan and LN professionals in attendance. Bader Mansour, CEO of NAZDAQ, gave a presentation as part of the “Battle of the Report Writers” together with Jim Maughan from Cyberscience. During the presentation, he detailed the eagerly awaited version of B2Win 6.0 and highlighted some of the new tricks for downloading reports to Excel and other applications. A sneak preview of NAZDAQ’s newest reporting tool that links directly with the database was also given. Additional details on this new advancement are expected soon.
The NAZDAQ booth at the Mosaic symposium offered an array of information on the company’s tools and current projects for interested customers to inquire and see first-hand. During the event, two particularly interesting visitors happened by the NAZDAQ booth: the first was Edwin van der Borg, one of the current administrators of the increasingly popular site www.baanboard.com – which NAZDAQ has been sponsoring for more than 6 years, almost from the very beginning. Another interesting visitor was John Chandrasekar, who works for Elcoteq in Irvine, TX, one of the customers of NAZDAQ products. John was born in a small town in India called “Nazareth”, after the original town of Nazareth, where the current offices of NAZDAQ (Nazareth Data Quest) are located. Bader and John shared a bit about “my Nazareth”. Interestingly, John was one of the happiest people at the symposium because he won two of the event’s raffles held by different vendors.
